How'd it go today?

Stig and Butch, I'm making a conscious effort to be less miserable day to day, knowing that you guys are putting in some hard time. Hope things smooth out for you guys.

Ditto....down time comes hard for disciplined folks. Movement - disciplined movement like you do with your martial arts is a joy and sorely missed when it can't be indulged. Hang in there, bro....wishing all the best from here.

That's really shit Stig. Similar happened to my mother with her chemo- the first batch did her almost as much harm as good. Subsequent treatment has been carefully monitored & the results have been impressive as her blood count is currently at normal levels.

I am sure that they will work on your next treatment carefully. Remember to do as much homework about it as you can, as the better informed patients always seem to get better treatment.

That is excellent advice, Pete. People give doctors too much credit when they think them infallible and blindly follow their advice without asking informed questions. There is almost always more than one way to treat problems and in the end it is your life and your choice the path you take.

Wow. Yeah. Dang... This is a journey.

We're all here to listen and help...

There's a term for that: expert halo. Occurs in many different situations, not just Docs.

Geez really sorry to hear that Stig...(hug)
I agree about the being informed, we've had to stay on top of Bob's Drs... communication between GP and specialists is awful, he should have had a cardio follow up two weeks ago!

They call it practicing medicine for a reason. That's still shitty tho, and shitty for you too boss. Keeping hanging in there with your head up, and keep fighting.

Careful with losing a tractor over a brush fire, i would imagine the feeling is terrifying :/: i mean, an expensive piece of equipment, flames licking your easy button that saves your back, i can't possibly imagine that :/:

If I understand correctly....from someone who does this:

Lol yup. I had my backhoe die right as i was pushing up a fire as well lol. Good test of my mechanic skills, gas backhoe as well hahahahaha. Some crap clogged the carb, pulled the drain on it with some channellocks i had under the seat, and got it fired up again to pull it away just in time. Caught the gas in...a beer can of course  I've always said i would rather be lucky than good!!!

That's an awesome way to raise a family there Jim, kids right there learning what it takes in the real world.

My 22 year old son just got accepted into Stetson University College of Law. Looks like my retirement will be delayed again.

Not too shabby for a home schooler. His mom (and teacher) died when he was 8 and he pretty much home schooled himself all the way through high school. He's graduating from University of Tampa in May.

WTH, I'm getting a vibe of something like an obstacle course for mechanics. Maybe Naked and Afraid but with Channel locks, hammer, crescent wrench, screw driver?!?
