All dark screen for a while and suddenly, all white. That hurts.
Once, I got that bad with an add pannel on the road side at night. It's a screen like a pc monitor with various shop's adds successively displayed. The somewhat dark/colored pics switched to a full white screen just when I drove by. Ouch!
It's worse than when you get up to pee in the night and you turn the light on.
