I can see a ton of fuel load under those trees. Plus their desity. Dry enough, this is what happens here.

You take the snake to the tub and run it under cold water. If that doesn’t work, hot water. It will let go.
That crowning fire was pretty slow moving too, when they get going and a decent fire storm is created, the trees just explode ahead of the flame front due to the high radiant heat.
Had fires over in NSW and Vic where there are road signs just melted splatter on the road surface where they melted rapidly in the inferno.
No getting out alive with those if your caught in them in a vehicle.
Not a lot of wind in that video, and he had a cleared area away from the flames, so it was a good start at least, but should have taken the vehicle into the clearing.
