I'd like to start documenting some of my work with video. Just basic videos, not like August or Reg; I'm not that tech-savvy. :|: TIA!

That's my biggest fear with new electronics nowadays and I know it ain't just cuz I'm getting old. They don't give good instructions or make them as user-friendly as they could be!

I'd like to get a high-electric drum kit, but the fricking control modules are so nuts!!! They scare me off!

Maybe a stationary HD dash cam clipped to a nearby fence would work for overall documentation? I've done it even more old school -- digital camera on a tripod, but you're limited to 8 min due to the file size limitation on the FAT-formatted SD card -- at least on my 10 year old camera!

8 minutes would be the perfect length for a tree vid. I've recently noticed if I speed them up, they are still quite viewable - it just sounds funny when there's talking.

I'll pass the one Gary gave me on to you.

I simply don't get around to using it, and end up feeling bad about it.

Gary told me it would be fine if I passed it on to another member, I just never got around to actually asking if anybody wanted it.

So PM me your address and i'll get it on it's way.

Get a wireless link going with a servo mount, so you can start/stop, zoom, and reposition the camera angle from in the tree, while seeing what the camera sees.

You gotz my blessing, Stig...pass it on. You did make a few videos that sparked some good conversations...and gave me a good excuse to send you something.

Mission accomplished on several fronts!

I was going to suggest a Hero 7 Black, it’s on my to buy list as I get back into shooting vid of work, along with a 4K camcorder upgrade.

The camera arrived yesterday. As soon as I can get one of my kids to show me how to use it, I'll post up some videos. :D

Great!
I got a notice from the post office, that i put too few stamps on it, and would have to pay up the difference.
They kindly abstained from fining me, which was a good thing, because it was their own employee, who decided what it should cost.

I miss the good old days, when we had a socialist post office , that actually did what it was supposed to.
