Looks like Cupressus nootkatensis 'Green Arrow' Alaskan cedar tree.
There are others with similar habit, like Xanthocyparis-nootkatensis, and Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Pendula'.
There is one in the arboretum at the local Ag school that looked like a preying mantis for years.

I'm going with Seuss tree, Gary nailed it

Might help to credit me, butch....

These two awesome trees are cedrus deodar, which have not been "mucked" with. I spotted them last week. They may be of the "pendula' variety, but aren't weeping like most at all. They're in Everett, Wa.

Difficult to tell at that resolution, but I took it into Photoshop and opened up the gamma to "peer into the darkness" of hollow -- and it's definitely all there -- the back wall and root flare. I don't see any noticeable seams or immediate giveaways, but it very well could be merged in from another photo and a "mesh warp" applied to make it bulge to the full diameter of tree.

You need to get out more, Butch.
Plenty of those in the Sequoias.
I believe the old timers called it a cat's face.

Goose pen is the term. A catsface is like a scar or opening anywhere along the trunk, above the ground. Atleast in my lingo. Lol.
