Stihl MS462

Echo does the same: optional outer and not even an inner on smaller climbing saws!
Seems to becoming more standard industry practice -- our Husqy T540 came with nada dogs. Going to have to get some for bigger wood cuts. But then again, the 200T is back from the shop, so it might have to take a backseat to the reigning king...

Are you guys seeing these available in the USA? I tried to order 2 and my dealer told me they can't get them yet. Something may be going on with my dealer, they only have 4 saws on the shelf right now.

I bought mine from a dealer in Massillon, Ohio, USA
Same place I bought every other saw I’ve owned. Well except for a handful of used ones

Ask your dealer to call the Stihl distributor. My dealer didn't know they were available until I asked and he called his distributor. He had it for me the next day, along with a second one on his display shelf.

To compare prices

800usd for the 572 20" with a retail price of 999usd. 2 dealers at that NY MI.

Ask Stig...
Mine got a run today with the new smaller dogs...no problem in 18" wattle, and like a knife through buttah!!!

They hold up as well as the normal bars.
For wear, that is.

If they are bent, they die easier than a normal bar.
