What should I get for pictures to ID several elms at home?

Maybe I can't prune any of the elms, even if some are not susceptible to DED, as it might attract beetles. Any ideas, please?

What are you wanting exactly -- ID American vs. Siberian vs. Slippery vs. Rock Elms?

Bark, leaves, root flare, branch structure...

Yes, species.

Didn't know if there is some short cut, like needles in a fascicle on pines cutting down quickly the number of options.

Would be nice to know if there is risk of DED or not.

Basically, all American and English Elms are susceptible Asian and Siberian not so much. Beetle flight happens in the spring and larva overwinter in the tree. All Elms will host beetles that will cause damage even without Ophiostoma novo-ulmi so it is best not to make pruning cuts during flight times if possible.

Probably no rock elms in your area, as it's a midwestern species (we've only worked on a handful in KC). We've worked on Siberian, American, and Rock (in that order of occurrence). Can't ever recall working on a slippery elm.
