That is very true. And in those years when we were laid off all winter, and later when we were put in non-pay status all winter, M and I did some really fine adventuring. Travel all over the country. Young, strong, unencumbered, in love, friends scattered all over that we could stay with a few days or even weeks. Fully 20 out of the 32+ years of our work life, we were off a good chunk of time every year. Fine times :).

That final price was insane, Gerry.
I can't see how anybody can make a decent wage out of that, no matter how good a climber they are.
 
B, I don't think it would be stroking your own ego to just go ahead and re-post those pics to the first post in this thread. I'd love to see them collected here. And a similar thread by G.F. Beranek, Butch, and others. Us newer members would appreciate a series of nice reference threads like that.
 
Any followup on that inoculation work? Did the birds appreciate it?

"infect" is judgmental; who are we to say what microbe is good or bad for the tree?
