MB, Starting last night I get popups from MediaGemm and AdArcade...but only when I open the TreeHouse.

I left a lot of different tabs open last night...got up to a clean screen (no popups...just normal sites).

Within 20 seconds of opening the House or a different forum once I am in the House I get popups. Is it just me? Norton is not doing anything about it for me...not sure what is going on.

I checked the Programs in Control Panel but nothing there.

Ideas?

All looks normal for me.

Stay of the porn sites? ;)

But in all seriousness wasn't there another thread like this? I think it was a browser issue IIRC.

And it may not be the house. I just remembered that my grandson had a friend over yesterday and they were playing on my computer. Never been any problems with my grandson using the computer but the friend that was over is kind of sketchy. I think they were visiting Pokemon sites. I may have been bamboozled.

No problem here on PC or laptop. I stopped using Norton years ago because it was crap but I think it's a bit better now.

Avira is good for free. Download Malwarebytes it's free or you can buy premium. Just run that and you should be ok. You can keep it on a USB just in case you crash, then just run it from that. I've had it for years.

My love affair with building and maintaining computers was brought to screeching halt by end users.

Figured it out...I did a history and found that arcadespot was visited by two young boys yesterday...playing pokemon games. I went into Chrome and told it to block that site...seems OK now.

Madness. Gonna have a good talk with young'uns.

Don't be too hard on them, they are probably too young to know stuff about computer viruses and such. And if they aren't, slip them a smoke, a beer, and tell them to look at t&a like i did at that age  jk bud, glad you got it sorted out.
