Gaff question.

Let's postpone the discussion about the anchor point for later. I'm interested in your opinion about eurogaffs. The one on the left -

I climbed on both...the Euro style gaffed out about 500% more often than the more traditional American style, on my western US conifers and hardwoods.
 
I could not get on with the Euro gaffs as, like Burnham I constantly gaffed out. I bought some longs in the traditional style & have been very happy with them.
 
I've climbed on both.
Never noticed any difference.
So, either I'm stupid or I know how to sharpen gaffs.
 
Come to think about it, that is most likely the answer:lol:
