I'm a bodger Cory... I have friends who are top fabricators, and I'm sort of useful with a set of spanners. All self taught.

Cool , there are two guys here that fab'd their own tow behinds. My guess is maybe a thousand board foot payload. Truth is they look better made than the one's in Bailey's catalog at probably cheaper cost. Homemade!

Jim, Turning circle is pretty damn good - slightly reduced due to the large offroad spec tyres.

Chris, this is purely for my own treework. I wont even haul for other companies like I used to - no point in helping the competition.

Cool mate, I'm also hoping to have a small chip truck with a crane later this year. As handy as it could be I probably won't go a 4wd, there is a 4wd chip truck for sale locally with a 12 cube bin but I think the extra height could be an access limiting factor to our regular suburban sites.

So yeah. It took me a while. I moved house again and renovated a new house. Installed a woodchip hot water heating system. Bought and opened a nightclub. Bought another 4x4 chip truck. Had a another child. Did some treework. Played a few gigs and did a few parties.

Anyway, got the crane operational today. I'll go shift a load of beech tomorrow to shake it down. received_10215597436318544.jpeg received_10215597439478623.jpg received_10215597652923959.jpeg received_10215597654363995.jpeg received_10215597436318544.jpeg received_10215597439478623.jpg received_10215597652923959.jpeg received_10215597654363995.jpeg

I've got a fair few bits and pieces to do on it yet. Cab will get sandblasted and painted. Rest will get several coats of chassis paint

Mad Max looking thing!! Very cool. Thanks for showing that...looking forward to seeing action shots.

Don't turn that bad boy over! Looks like you could stand it on the rear wheels if you wanted.
