Best way to process an Osage Orange tree for $

I think the guy claimed this log had sat there for 7 years, and he would let me have it for free if I processed it, since he didn't think he could do it. I used his saw (echo 590 ported for torque I sold him) with a new Archer chain. He said I won't be able to get it cut since it would dull too fast. The saw sure didn't feed well, more like scratched it's way through, but the chain didn't really start dulling until the last big cut, or when finishing the cuts partly because the log was on a bunch of nails and junk. It was a dense log too, denser than they normally rate hedge.
