Looks small here, but you can just barely make out my 661 w/36" bar to the right of the stump.

Lilly wanted to help at the job today. So I let het blow the parking area :)

Took down a Lil' cedar today, fun size for sure, he was blocking wifi signal

Then SRTed up a 135 footer to choke a pull line around trunk to help with pull over, home and many structures near by and they breed dogs with kennals all over :|:

That's a much wetter looking type of environment than I normally see in your pics Scott. Nice work as always.

It was , up at about 4200ft elevation with patches of snow all over...and weather was t-shirt weather today, crazy I know ;)

Only pic I've taken in a few days. New hire that I was told to watch for a couple weeks. He's been doing ok in the bucket. Next week is 40 hours of safety, policy, and tying our shoes week. Really not looking forward to that. One day is first aid and cpr. Next day is company policies. The other 24 hours are for me to do. After all that maybe I can see him climb. He's doing good so far though.

Just make it don't freeze

OMG Stephen! It does freeze! Everything freezes. You can't get biners through the spliced eyes, the Rope Wrench get's super stiff and slow on the line, ascenders ice up, your hands go numb fumbling with all the freezing aluminum. hahaha.

I still like it though ;)

Happy New Years my friend!

Went to finish a job for a friend today...got the top stuff out about a week ago, needed Alex for traffic control while we dumped the 2 side limbs that were over the street. Had to cut them about 1/3 way out towards tip to get them to miss wires. The bottom limb which I cut on the way up hit the ground with the tip before it got clear of the trunk...hate it when that happens. Here's a video of dropping the spar. Alex had left by this time...the chipper cable attachment broke at the feed bar control and he rigged it at first but that crapped out, too. His finger got mashed pretty good when the feed rollers snatched a limb sideways and mashed finger between side of chute and limb. We don't think it's broken but it swole up pretty good, bled awhile and hurt a lot. I could hear him growling sometimes when he wrestled some of the limbs to the chipper. He wouldn't leave til I was down out of the tree but we cancelled chipping at that point and let him go tend his finger. It's gonna be real sore, I think.

I finished the spar drop and clean up...I really don't like cleaning up dead oak...way too many small crumbly trippy limbs. Got someone coming to take the big wood for firewood then I get to chip the rest.
