I find WD-40 and air do a good job of cleaning a bar sprocket.

And using a torch is a fun way to get rid of button batteries.

The battery? IDK, but i wasn't brething any noticeable fumes. I'm highly conscious of fume breathing.

I tried without WD-40, but the thick bar oil would keep things sticky, WD-40 thins it out and helps unstick particles, and helps the sprocket spin faster to fling junk out.

Fun Fact: that bar sprocket reached 32,000rpm :O

I'm surprised that the sprocket is still there.
I've done that before too, but I chickened and stopped the acceleration well before your speed level.

Ha! Some strange things occur sometimes in the editing, Butch will be unhappy:P

It may not be designed too, but that doesn't mean it can't do it all day. And that was a super cheap bar too, very soft metal.

I figure if a little tungsten fan in a thermos sized model turbine can withstand over 250,000 rpm, this smaller steel sprocket should handle 32,000 pretty well. I didn't expect it to go that fast until I calculated the pitch afterward from the video. It sounded around 5900Hz, 11teeth.

Try hang gliding they said... it'll be fun they said...
