You can't speak of carvers without mentioning another Brit, Grinling Gibbons ~ 1648-1721

I saw some of his work at the V and A museum in London. Very famous carver.

I like Netsuke. Can't find any of the pics on my PC, but do a Google image search, it's pretty cool. I'll try to get some loaded up when I get my connection fixed.
