Hey guys, I fueled up my saw on weds after it was running great and all of a sudden it ran like shit, chain spin on idle, sounds like it’s being choked by Arnold. Trying to start it, the chain spins, and it will start eventually. It ran better today but it must be something g clogged up?

    Bar LUGNUTS

Howdy, so my 460 is going great, apart from a few things. One being I replaced one of the lug nuts that holds the bar, and the inner has stripped, in the saw. Piece of shit chinese knock off! How easy is it to fix? Ive not taken it apart yet, thought i'd ask here first. Cheers in advance :)

All round ground saw choice - 460 or 660?

Hello, title says it, Im going to invest in one of these saws to perform all tasks my 201t cannot. Ill have a few different length bars too, maybe a 20, and a 32. Power/weight ratio? Im well used to a 66 in the tree so its not a bother. Im steering towards a dual ported 460 that will perform...

    Dead elm

Got to this job this morning. 2 year dead. Crispy.. Garage roof below, over 3 barb wire fences, only 2 ground guys, rain forecast, not much gear, my climb line is 120 foot. No pressure though, took a look from the roof which gave a better perspective. Coming back next week...

    Climbing - Grapple

There are times when I think, damn I need to just get over there ** feet, in the tree, too far to swing.... Just today, I had to have the groundsman swing me to where I wanted to be... but having seen Reg with his grapple ($230) I'd like something similar but not breaking the bank lol. When I...

    Felling a back leaning stub

So we got this oak down to the main fork today, double rigging the wood to land it from over the roof into the yard with excellent success. Hell of a lot of wood! In the morning I have to fall the remaining 40ish feet of trunk into the open space, with about 30 feet of room to play with between...

    Big black oak removal

Were removing this large oak this week... typical scenario, wires roves houses patios etc. Double roped most of the tree, sometimes communication between me and the crew falters because of language but we get through. Time is tight as the competition is so tough here, but work is work. The last...

Old School: Negative blocking without a block

Howdy... So, alot of other crews around my area are all old school, dont use pulleys for rigging big wood, but cut in notches for the rope. Ive never seen this method, so can one of you guys explain the technique perhaps? I would hate not having a rigging block to rely on, especially on some of...
