hahaha...what a great visual you just painted!! I considered googling images of your description but I am skeered of what I might find. I did remember I had this saved...an avatar from "Sizzler" who was a cool fellow on TreeBuzz back in the day.
These guys have a bit of a jump on you...
Beautiful picture. And it's a 200T.. wonderful. Thread is back on track. I've got some short videos of what I did last week. I'll throw it up later but not as cool as that shot.
You could start working with the rope as an assist like I did in the video...arms up and curl assist as you sit up. Gradually keep the arms lower as you pull to assist the situp and finally keep the fists and rope on the floor...like the video. You could probably do it in a few months. Just...
I doubt you are weak as a kitten...and with training you could develop that ability. I didn't even know un-anchored situps were a thing for a long time. When I learned, someone always held your feet....or they went under a couch.
My Bando teacher introduced us to how un-developed we were by...
I watched it and gave it a try and I'll shoot you a video of how it seemed to go for me. Let me know if I am doing something different from her. Video in a bit.
Cory!! You have turned into a pict/vid posting maniac...great stuff. Loved that big drop of the whole tree a bit back. The Ninja looks ripped. You are looking fit yourself, too. Good stuff. (Yoga mat in the speedo picture? Doing yoga these days?)
There is a lot in that write-up that concerns me for your well-being. For just starting with this new company you are feeling like your life is in danger. To blackout from getting bounced around...I am trying to understand that. If you took a hit to the head or broke a bone I understand blacking...
THAT is very true. Before we used to rappel down trees we spiked down. I hated it then and still do.
Spiking is relatively easy on vertical spars...leaning/curving trees can be a challenge. And critters in the crown is big uh-oh.
Ambien.. my mother quit taking it after she got up in the middle of the night and ordered two vacuum cleaners. She had no recollection of talking to the lady and ordering them. We managed to figure it out before they showed up and cancelled the order.
Marc.. great explanation of residual...
Marc and Bermy give good information. Don't let these fellows you work for/with get you to push too fast or too hard. Both can get you hurt, now and/or later.
That's impressive. I think I have progressed when I can get as much appreciation out of seeing these fruit trees getting rehabbed as I do seeing one of Jed's stump pictures. Excellent before and after shots.
That was kind of my thinking here, too. I have gotten shaken some but never shaken loose. I don't do this work everyday but I've taken some decent-sized tops...there are ways to cut the top to help mitigate a butt-kicking release. (Humboldt type notch for one). Let some others with more...
Ref: Jonny's Wesspur post...That's what I have...works great. Mine is sewn at the center point...no rivet or whatever that is.
