Anesthesia is usually worse than the surgical intervention. Friend's 94 year old Dad had hip replacement post-fall a month ago and he is just now starting to get his mental clarity back.

That's rough. Fingers crossed. Old folks and falls are a bad but frequent combination.

My dad, almost 93, took a fall Sunday night. Went and got my mom and took her to him at the hospital. Broke his hip. Couple days of exhaustion and trying to balance a 2hr trip to the hospital and work. They scheduled him for surgery today and we are down here together. Mom can't drive at night...

I think I have a Big Boy or something around here somewhere...

I have known multiple guys who were good at their craft who retired and came back multiple times...that's what you get for being skilled. ;-)

I follow some guardian livestock dogs on some platform or other, they work with Recon Cat protecting goats.
