Yeah, probably would be better, would definitely look better, but having installed the cobra before to keep it from failing totally...it's doing ok. First one, plenty learned for next time. I've been back a few times in some good wind, watched it all and I'm happy with what I see

So I finally off loaded the pictures from my phone, here was my first bolting job... Mr Bermy drilling the holes, just in case the torque turned me into a windmill. Drill and drill bit combo worked just fine (after our previous discussions on this subject!)

Bump...for those reading this from Patricks thread Love my chipper, much more flexibility on those one off jobs in the city...people buy my chips at $5 a bag at my gate. No problems with maintenance. We have smooth form ply in the bed of the ute, so it is easy as to use a 90* fork to shovel it off.

I had to stop work on Tuesday at lunchtime, dry lightning storm was rolling through, we could see fork lightning hitting the ground on three sides, I was working in a 60' incense cedar. By the time Wednesday morning came there were 60 fires going throughout the state, the Brigade 10kms north of us has been out three times since the storm for lightning fires. Today, work is called off for rain...very happy to have some rain.

I hear you about the work being the least painful! But Drs do say if you have a bit of 'arthur' to keep moving. I've been taking a magnesium tablet in the evening, and anecdotally I seem to sleep better and less aches in the morning, combine that with my mainly wheat free diet...at the moment you could say I'm 'maintaining course and speed'. Definitely less pain and stiffness than before ditching wheat, definitely.

Look at all that heavy machinery too, your new 'soil' is getting pretty well compacted. I see it pushed up right to the tree trunks too, there is bound to be some mechanical damage to the trunks. I concur that it doesn't look good right now, start planning ahead for replanting. As has been said that 'soil' is just dirt at the moment, you need to think about getting some animal manure and green waste and start getting some good stuff ready help the whole system. All that having been said, it is amazing what abuse trees can tolerate in the tropics!

    Hey Gigi,
I've been hearing your radio ad every week. Very effective! You will reach more clients through radio than you would through telephone ad.
