A submarine anywhere would suck once the novelty of riding on nuclear power wears off. From what I understand. Severe lack of personal space, and fresh food. Idk how they do it.

Yeah alot of those guys see the world. I could probably get quite used to some Pacific islands :) Or permanent duty in San Diego would be nice.

They'll definitely make him a mechanic and let him finish high school/ BOCES After that they kinda reserve the right to put him wherever they want for 15 months or so. I felt bad for the mechanics in Iraq. Looks like a lot of work because people beat the shit out of everything they drive.

I get a stiff neck looking up all the time. Pretty satisfying when it's done and looks good though. Going with my son tomorrow to talk with his recruiter. Did you know he can finish his Junior year of high school, then go to basic training in the summer, then come home and do his senior year, then go to AIT after HS graduation? 17 years old throwing grenades and shit in basic training! He wants to do a 6 year Army Reserve contract as a wheeled vehicle mechanic and he's doing BOCES vocational school for diesel mechanics already. Kid's got a plan anyway.

Yup, plug the phone right in too. Mine are some no name brand from Amazon I think and they sound good to me. The little subwoofer thumps pretty good!

People get wacky about it sometimes. Pretty sure anyone could survive a week with a box of cereal so long as the water is still running. Generators are cool, but they don't like sitting idle for long periods of time. A bigger power inverter should run a sump pump or the circulation pump on a little household boiler system, and you can just toss it in the closet til you need it.

Shit, I'm really sorry everyone! I swear the feedback score was good, when I first posted this, now seller has 44 negative reviews that are all from this month. Hopefully seller does ship them and nobody has to do a claim w PayPal to get their money back. I should've ordered one myself from this clown first before making a thread.

I got a biggish notch ring on a 5/8 whoopie sling, and an ultra sling w ring on the way. I want one more, a big one on a 3/4" ultra sling then I hope to only use a block for lifting. What turned you off the safebloc, Rich?

Make sure the chain isn't loose, and use a vice. Just a handle and file. You can remove as much or as little metal as you want, just try to make the tooth look new, but with a little deeper gullet. I file the gullet down then sharpen the cutter. I hold the file at both ends. Practice makes perfect. You can make them sharper than new. Some people sharpen brand new chains.

They're around 1.25 inches. I will definitely hang on to them and try them out on Norway maple or something like that. Are chainsaw pants required by law there, Bermy?

I'm a sucker for an ebay bargain. Picked up a set of Buckingham titanium, CCA pole gaffs, twisted shank with the steel insert Velcro wrap pads. I had to buy them each individually from the seller lol 25$ each. CCA gaffs are funny looking, got grooves machined into them or something like that. I'll probably replace them with tree gaffs, but I'll try them first. Never used pole gaffs before.

I've been cheating since Christmas. I'm getting back to keto and some intermittent fasting tomorrow though. Another 15 lbs or so and I'll be at my goal of 185. I was 240 when I started the diet in September and I'm still floored by how easy it is with just a little planning and willpower.

Looks like a neat machine, but can you see what you're grinding with the controls all the way in the back? Curious about the performance of hydraulic driven wheel as opposed to belts... I don't see how it could be faster but I'm no expert.
