Zombieland is total comedy with A list cast and writing, some funny cameos too. Catch it if you see it coming up on any network around Halloween, you shan’t regret it!

Off with the ole lady to get tacos and see Zombieland Double Tap. Hope it’s as good as the first one. This past weekend, we saw Joker. Thought it was amazing. Definitely not a superhero movie and doesn’t really meet the right times to make Joker under 70 by the time Batman comes around but still a great story and excellent performance from Mr Phoenix.

I’d be plenty happy with it, you might have the fastest 6lb saw in the world! Looks like a dream come true for climbers.

That 395xp is badass. Definitely the fastest cutting and most powerful saw I’ve run. I want one. Nice meeting you and working with you, Frankie, we’ll have to do it again sometime :) Took a hinge pic.

I made my speed line slings with bulk tubular webbing from Bluewater I think, and beer knots and a bunch of these biners just because they were so cheap. Aluminum would be nice though. Still can’t believe there’s ISC steel oval screwgates for 6$. Thought it was a typo before but they’re still there. https://www.treestuff.com/isc-oval-steel-screw-gate-carabiner/

That one is probably gonna be heading out on a long flight for warmer climates soon. Most nights get to the low 40s F now, and weve had freezing temperatures in October plenty of times. Rarely snow so early but its happened.

Saw a Great Blue Heron today by a tiny pond at the big Geico center where my girlfriend works. Hanging out waiting for a fish or a frog probably.

How sad. Very cool planes, a lot of guns. We (my mom, dad, grandma, uncle, and bros) toured a B-17 in 02 or 03 when one was visiting Niagara Falls Air Base, I think my uncle went for a ride on it too. Wonder if it was the same one, article said there’s only 10 that are still flight worthy. My Grandfather was a crewman/ gunner on one that was shot down, he was taken prisoner by Germany. My Grandma always had a made of a piece of shrapnel that was stuck in the heel of his boot.

They look great, thanks for showing those, Steve! Looks like the larger demo saws are the way to go. Already set up to run a pulley. Some nice ones always coming and going on Craigslist for cheap too.

Jonny replied to a thread Cornus mas in Tree Care and Health
I remember 15 years ago, give or take, TreeChick or her boss had to buy someone a new cement walkway because it was permanently stained when they removed some kinda tree that had some powerful pigment in the fruit. During the course of removing it, they had stepped on the fruit on the walkway. It wasn’t removable with pressure washer, bleach, or whatever else they tried, maybe a solvent. I remember thinking it was really ridiculous and I’m pretty sure they were ordered to replace it in small claims court. Maybe I can find the thread, I think it was much more ridiculous than how I described it. They might have had to replace the entire walkway because replacing the stained sections left the new cement a different color shade than the old stuff. By the by, anyone know what happened to her? She sent me a wonderful care package when I was overseas. Nice lady.

Years ago there was someone here (I think) that made a bucket scabbard out of 3" or 4" pvc pipe. Some cutting on it and the rest was thermoformed with the kitchen oven.

I’d like to try totally copying the design of the Alpine Magnum and have one built. I’ve never seen one up close, but looks pretty simple, and aside from the cost of the power head should be a fraction of what they sell for. Hardest part might be fitting the belt drive pulley to the power head, and if I use a demolition/ concrete saw, that part is already done I think. Advertised as 4800 rpms on the cutter head of the AM, while I’ve read the Vermeer sc252 is around 1100. Not sure how accurate either of those are, but makes sense that you’ll see much faster speed coming from a biggish 2 stroke.

It’d get chewed up eventually but sure wood would work for a while. Try to keep the chain brake off so the chain rolls rather than drags the cutters across it.

Looks much nicer than the ones they sell, and those things are expensive! Are you gonna put a strip of poly sheet or something like that inside it?
