Not many spots on that helmet for bigger stickers. Bermy, that other sticker is from Gap arborist supply, great company to deal with. I’m not sure what kinda hitch or mechanical the sticker guy has going on there though.

You might’ve been employing a junkie. Purely speculation. Fast cash in this biz will attract them though, along with potential of high dollar tools. If he wanted purified, spring, reverse osmosis water he shoulda brought it. Grown ass man still needs mothering? I’m sorry to hear this. FWIW I’d jump at the chance to work with you, along with a few others here. Maybe if all is still well when my little birds fly the nest (6 years) I’ll drop in an application.

Cool the deputy was carrying a tourniquet. I keep a CAT on my saddle and one in the glovebox. I’ve given a few out too. Heard about the lady with the rope getting caught in the chipper, sad, but she lived. The guy on the ladder had no business doing what he was doing. Sad. About 4 years ago a friend who was also my son’s football coach died after falling. I guess he was tied in on the same lead he was rigging off of, though a different crotch I’m sure. Roped a piece off and the whole stem failed, it was some type of willow.

Iíll bet youíd be right depending on how old the car is. More modern cars are likely built to withstand some roll overs so strong roof structures, yeah? I might be totally full of shit but it makes sense to me. I like the idea, Gary. Canít see why it wouldnít work. Iíd probably want the keys for the wrecker locked up. Look into lock out/ tag out if youíre unfamiliar with it. I reckon the owner of the wrecker wouldnít be cool with you keeping the ignition keys in your pocket, but something should be done to ensure nobody can possibly try driving away.

Do you have a set of trauma straps for your FA harness? I have a couple sets, brand new, you are welcome to one if you want.

Ha! I was just rereading this thread 2 days ago. I love most shellfish but have yet to try an oyster. Chinese buffets got them all the time, but I think I looked at them too long and turned myself off of them. Pretty sure I got some tinned smoked ones too. The last meal before execution got screwed up by one asshole that ordered some crazy lavish meal and then didn't eat it and laughed about it. It so I read somewhere.... Grain of salt with that one.

Hell yeah. Yamahahahaha!!! I still have my old YZF600R a 1996 I think. Been sitting in the garage for years now, pool old gal. This old ink could use some touch up. Interesting trivia that I didn’t know til my dad told me, Yamaha’s symbol there is 3 crossed tuning forks, stemming from their fine piano business.

Oh boy. Gotta treat those places like the casino, leave the credit and bank cards at home and don’t bring more cash than you’re willing to lose ;) Gap is an excellent supplier, Ray and Kyle will bend over backwards to make their customers happy. I’d love to visit the shop sometime.

Some of it’s priced pretty well, others meh. Most of the ropes can be had for a better price brand new if you wait for a sale. 225$ for a clean Protos with Sena is great, the ms150 looks very low hours at 400$, the Sidewinders look cool. Wonder what happened to make the guy swear off trees after investing in quality gear like that.

A prussik which will be used for what? Isnít 1.2% not really stretchy at all? Sounds slippery... thinking poor knot holding. Like you said, falls apart with little heat, in this case probably the core as well as jacket. Polypro doesnít take abrasion well. Thereís a good reason so many ropes in this industry use polyester, especially in the jacket. Mostly abrasion resistance, ok with some heat, low stretch (which isnít ALWAYS a good thing in rigging or climbing), holds knots and grips well. Just relatively inexpensive, tough and durable stuff that performs well and begins to give obvious warning signs when itís reaching retirement time, barring overloading and hard abuse. I donít know a lot about spectra except if used in the wrong termination or weighted at an extreme bend radius it is self abrasive ( try searching info about the bridges on the old Weaver Cougar saddles), itís very strong and often found in cores making it hard to inspect. Iím not a boat guy... maybe if you know someone that is they might use it? Might be handy for non critical utility stuff like tie downs... probably handles the same if it gets wet and freezes, if not itíll probably shed the ice easier than other materials. Iím sorry but I canít say Iím 100% positive about all I wrote, itís all just kinda the impression Iíve gotten over the years. Do correct me if Iím wrong... it could be important.

Interesting article here about similar situation. https://www.usa.skanska.com/49a462/siteassets/who-we-are/sustainability/safety/skanska-head-protection-white-paper.pdf I’ve not heard anything bad about the Vertex. I’m pretty sure if you just use the chin strap you’ll get used to it really quickly and forget it’s even there.

I would have to agree. After spending 6 hours trapped under an atv with collar bone broke in 2 spots so a piece of bone was kinda floating, I gave up riding that thing. Really thought I was a goner then. Wearing a full rain suit for the mud, but as the hours passed it got hot out. Never been so thirsty or in so much pain. Completely trapped. A Good Samaritan driving a train stopped and helped get it off of me, and I was able to get my phone out and call my brother to come get me.

I voted for both but it’s not dear to me. On second thought I’m not sure I’d use a dislike button unless it was kinda funny to me. If I actually dislike something I’m gonna say something or ignore it.

Watched “ Mean Streets” last night on Netflix. Good movie, had never heard of it before. Deniro and Keitel looked like little kids back then. Looking forward to Martin Scorsese’s new one, The Irishman.

No, it just came today. Good reviews out there about it though, probably someone here that uses it. So far I’ve only had the Akimbo work well with Fly. I’ll probably use the Xstatic just for SRT.
