I cut an inch or so off the top and bottom hooks of the wire raiser, it's great now for grabbing loops or biners, or advancing them and getting them to fall off the hook when you want it to. I much prefer it now to a pole saw head, but either works. Sometimes with 24' of pole lol I only own 4 six footers.

I do that sometimes usually around primaries or if there's lots of sticks in the way keeping me from throwing a few coils or a monkey fist. I keep a pole saw head with no blade just for such occasion, just use the push/pull hook. A single overhand knot to make a little 5" or so loop on the end of the rope, hang it on the hook, poke the hook and rope up wherever you want it, and shake the rope off the hook over the branch, retrieve it with the hook, and keep hold of both ends over the branch, tie running bowline, pull it all tight, and there it is. If I'm not clear enough I'm sorry. A 20 second video would be easier.

Pretty good one this week! Some new old art, some booze, some dicks. When I get to work in a little bit I'll check Google for more pics of the Mariana Trench. Pretty cool stuff. http://listverse.com/2019/05/18/10-offbeat-stories-you-might-have-missed-this-week-5-18-19/

My Chihuahua tries really hard to kill the vacuum cleaner when it's running. Funny to watch, but I'm afraid the dingbat is gonna break a tooth.

Are these saws a dud when stock? I've done ok with simple muffler mods, but porting is beyond me.

Sounds like Sean's a pretty reasonable boss to me, that pays good and is willing to teach. Think it's a matter of time before you get someone that has a passion for the work. It'd be cool if you picked up an employee that's new to the work but actually enjoys it. Thought you had a good one for a while there, with the drive to learn and satisfaction at the end of the job, think that's the union carpenter guy.

I'm really digging the looks of Sean's modified hand truck on page 1. Do believe I'll have another project in the future, that looks like it'll save alot of time and energy.

I had one when I was 10 or so, a dwarf rabbit. The ammount of poop they made was insane, ended up giving it back to the pet store.

I'd like to try rabbit meat. Sportsman's club here does a game dinner every year, but the couple times I went there wasn't rabbit on the menu. They are cute little fellas.

I'll bet we meet a new person or two in the next month because of this thread. Even 1 entry purchase makes for a decent chance of a win, I think.

You guys seen the tree climbing goat pics before? Turns out they're staged. Yes there really are goats standing in the trees, but they're placed up there by farmers who then charge tourists to take photos. Is nothing sacred?! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/morocco-tree-climbing-goats-tourist-scam-farmers-marrakech-animal-cruelty-a8883711.html%3famp

Yea can become out of control very quickly. Too much oil, or a bird not properly thawed is a recipe for disaster, also supposed to dry the bird a bit by patting it with paper towels. It might really look like there's not enough oil in there to cover the bird, but the oil rises way higher than you'd expect after you drop the food in. Probably a good idea to set it up in the grass or dirt away from structures or other combustibles. If you end up with a fire, water will spread it around and do nothing to help put it out. There's class K fire extinguishers now, if you cook with gas/ fire and oil or shortening, you should get one. There's ones that look like a regular aerosol can for pretty cheap.

Ever seen a turkey fryer fire, Jimbo? A block over from me had a doozy a few years ago, I don't think they read the instructions. Could've been worse, but they lost a nice deck and some vinyl siding and windows. Don't really know the details, but there's a few ways to screw it up. We use ours to boil water for corn on the cob when we host more than a couple people.
