Stig is right. Southwest Alberta is pretty nice, the bit that attaches it to BC. :D

In Alberta the wind always blows the wrong direction. I've never been to the Yukon although I've been close. I'm not much for the north. Rough up there.

I bought all my belts from the local industrial supply shop. All you need is the number(they're in the manual). The replacements I used were a 'predator' gates belt meant for severe duty. Way cheaper then through my local bandit dealer. This was on a 250xp. Machine feeding it to its max, over the years we went through a few belts.

Ahh no worries then. Sometimes it costs to do the right thing and have it done asap. If you got it all sorted and flew under the radar(no work trouble) then it was likely well worth it.

What kind of truck is that Ryan? You said work truck right? Rear window a g note? I'd be shopping that around. 3bills for install is brutal and seven for the glass. Brutal too. Unless this is some kind of super duper one of a kind truck window I'd be hitting up a wreckers and finding a cheaper install.

Don't despair Deva, my daughter is the same way. Always had quads/bikes around, tried to psych her up to buy her own bike. No interest. I'd have chewed my left arm off(and I'm even left handed!) to have been able to have had that opportunity as a kid. I was a teen before I bought my first dirt bike myself and kept it at a friends place where we could ride out from. My daughter turns fourteen in two weeks. Only gotten her to get on the back of my bike once. Every now and then she'll rip the farm quad around, but mostly just if there's friends over or something. What can you do? Kids are a lot like horses, can't force em.

There must be lots of bikes around that would work for you. That would be a blast to do with your kid.

How's your boy doing Jim? I've been a motorcycling fool myself. That's the Shuswap river and a hydro dam in the background. And just some local fields and hills in the other. I am loathing winters steady approach.

A local crew was working in the big city to the south and had blades come off and rip right through the chute. Never found the set/side that came off. Busy city street. Scary sh-t.

Welcome. I would suspect there's a number of members here who would know the lowdown for that neck of the woods. If you don't get much response here maybe start a thread with a bunch of your questions laid out. Northern cali sounds nice. I saw a snowplow truck here today.

I'm pretty happy down my path of sportbike ownership. Following my dreams. Maybe a litre bike one day, make supercars look tame. At 600cc I'm naught to 60 in just over three seconds as it is. A litre bike will do it in under 3. Is it wrong to crave the thrill of acceleration and performance? Do I care? Lol. I guess I get some bonus points too.
