It's been my experience that the root cause of this whole issue is over tightening bar nuts in the first place.

I'll ad too that the best way to have a bucket is with a strong climber. I had a guy who worked for me for a number of years who was a much better climber than me to clarify. Not calling myself a strong climber while in the company of the types of climbers who hang out here, but I could get it done. But what I mean is when you have a strong or even capable climber and a bucket then you don't end up wasting time trying to get a bucket into places it has no business being. But just use it on the jobs it's suited for. Best of both worlds.

When I get more serious about dates and areas I'll keep that in mind. Gotta sell, move, work on the wife some, and then see if I can get the time off work too. So yah a few things to fall in line first. I'm a member of a local sportbike forum and have been researching some well documented trips/rides that members have made. I've also been down the west coast through Washington, Oregon, and to the tip of California fifteen years ago on my honeymoon in a little prelude sports car. Some really amazing roads/scenery down there. I really want to take a bike down.

I had a bucket and we took all comers. You just make bank on the bucket jobs and they're easy peasy compared to climbing. I always got a chuckle out of when you climbed the backyard tree high enough that you could see your fancy bucket truck parked out on the street. Whether accessible or not even in the interior of BC it's very easy to come up against trees that no normal bucket truck is reaching. Like MB said, seems crazy not to have one.

That would be a real honour. Will do. I've been researching some roads/areas down there for biking. Like I said still kind of in the dreaming it up stage. But hopefully I start to get out and about more soon.

Let me know when you're going Stig. I'm hoping to possibly make a bike trip down to Cali next year, still kind of in the dreaming stages and based on some things all falling into line. But it's definitely on my to do list. Would be cool to meet up for a spin or something. You never know?

No he's describing the other trees. That tree is a small tree on the end of a submerged log. And I'll take Rogers word for it that it's a spruce. Looks naggingingly like a little hemmer to me.

Yah but he's not as good looking as me. ;) Actually I was pretty scruffy looking today. Wanted the rough look, in case we ran into any bears.

Here's me dressed like a powerranger on the side of the road lol. The wife and I did a solid 3+hr ride today on my home turf. Hwy6. Some of the best and most scenic riding in the province. Hence the grin, ear to ear all day. Just gorgeous out. I laid it down something fierce and had a blast doing so. The Hwy gets very isolated once you're more then 20min out of town. Very little traffic, rarely ever a cop. Endless awesome corners and beautiful scenery. I'm really starting to feel the itch for a more powerful bike. I'm really flogging the r3 for all it's worth.
