Sausage, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. Getting ready to inject a chicken with creole butter and put a rub on the skin to fry up for dinner. Probably make squashed taters to go with it.

My old 020 and my 462. The 020 only comes out once in a while for special jobs. I don’t want to kill it. My 046 was my favorite but when it finally expired I replaced it a year later with the 462. That saw is a beast and Stihl built it right. I’m still waiting for the 500i to hit stateside. My dealer has promised me the first one as they did with the 462. As of now I hold the first 201t ( both first and second generation), the first 201tc, and the first 462 they have sold. They offered the first battery top handle but I had to decline as I have to many things to pay for and I’m keeping the cash readily available for the 500i

No he made jelly from the fruit. I guess it’s nice having so many choices for restaurants. I have to guess though because between the wife and I, we decided long ago that we can make a better tasting meal. It’s very rare to go out to dinner for us. The last few times have been disappointing

We have a good steady cold rain this morning. Boss sent us out anyhow. Then he texts me and says if it’s raining to bad to pack it up. We’re waiting on the parks department to bring keys out so we can get equipment staged and then going home. The whole crew is tired anyhow. We had two extra groundies yesterday so slammed out a two day job in a little over 10 hours. Watch out for that silky Bermy. Now that it’s tasted blood, it will have the thirst

Had a good frost this morning here. Cold enough the wipers didn’t take it off right away. Had to let the defrost do it’s thing. No big deal. Gave my buddy a few extra minutes with his wife before I showed up to rob his tool box of a few things. He said they were up for a while but she looked awful mad at me. The sun was up. Who sleeps after sunrise?

Ain’t it fun! Is this an easement/ ROW job or a property line thing? Either way it’s hard to get most of the public to know their rights. Easy day at home. Put rear brakes on the pickup, mowed the lawn, cleaned out the remaining stump grindings from the dump trailer, stacking wood in my little woodshed while well into a case of beer. Wife and kids will be home soon, so back to reality

It turns out that the last time the dealer tightened it they tore the rubber. Once I realized I could pull it out I got easy access with a 3/4 “ crescent wrench. We’ll see if it holds.

I was wondering what the best tool is to tighten up the boom control lever on my tx1000. The handle is threaded on one side and simple threads right into the housing. To keep it tight there is a very thin bolt to turn but it is under the rubber sleeve. It seems simple enough if I could get the sleeve off. Any suggestions?

If you have the tools and time to do it yourself it’s worth it. Plus it’s good practice. My old Vermeer chipper had a nylon piece that was used to position the feed control bar. I noticed it was starting to wear and decided I wasn’t paying for a new one and just use an old cutting board. Problem was I didn’t have an old one. After waiting for it to be old, I wore the chipper part out to the fullest. Finally bought a new cutting board. Cut the old one to fit and rabbitted the slots. For a year I dealt with the chipper working improperly to save money. After fixing it, I got curious and called Vermeer with a part #. I screwed around over a 12 dollar part. That’s really when I started thinking about things. I still have a problem with trying to get the most use out of everything though. Yesterday my rope bag for my 1/2” line tore again. I said I’ll have to stitch it up again for about the tenth time. I got home and said fug it. The bag is 7 years old. Spend $50 and buy a new one

The saw is really only in the scabbard for a short time so rust won’t be an issue. Aluminum is softer than steel but it will dull your chain over time https://www.treestuff.com/safetree-ultimate-chainsaw-scabbard-1/ I love these. My first one is three years old and it flies 50 hours a week. Needs replaced soon though. Also I didn’t pay that at the tcia show, which is in Pittsburg this November. They don’t dull a chain like the fiberglass does and are very durable. If you like yours, use it. I’d line it with something though

Glad they figured it out Rajan. All Access should be able to bill CMC for that I would hope. Let us know how it works for you both early on and after a while. Nice flag Jim. Had a head ache day. My main guy called off so I was left with the newish guy and another guy that we call Bare Minimum. Decent sized silver maple removal right over a metal fence. It went ok. Newbie isnít very good on the ropes. It feels good to know I can still Dig my spurs in good and cowboy up.

No she’ll just be mad because it’s two wheels instead of four. I’ve got something brewing that will give me my two wheels with nothing out of pocket. I’m just getting her prepped. Basically I’m selling something and gonna make a good profit and she don’t need to know about that. I might get my bike or I might make her a dream. We will see how she acts in the next few months. The deal will be done within the month, but she won’t know that for a long while.
