Vermeer is sold by RDO here. A company twice the size of Vermeer. No one compares to Vermeer/RDO here for customer service, site visits, demos, they work along side us, and not just me, but the other locals here too. They are consistently king. I like Vermeer as a company and RDO too. It's just been steady excellence. It aint the same everywhere I guess. To bad, but there's plenty for everyone I reckon. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LaCB_YYvUys" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

^^^ HAHAHAHAHA that “I do things hit me right in the funny bone. FWIW guys, you are seeing one pass the cuts from Jeff because he’s green and he’s doing what I tell him to do. Those one pass cuts are a lot easier to read for me especially without the LMI.

Waste of effort, and not a safer option. No disrespect to Augusts guys, or Mark C, but they only delay the inevitable, and hinder a climbers development

Drone save footage is EP. IC. Mine crashed into a pond as well, completely submerged, I fished it out, dried it off and it keeps working. Good job Mellow on the Ray Stevens.

I like that one Butch. That’s a keeper. Jed, my favorite work is tree falling. But I like to make money so I love the crane. Thanks all, I just posted this video up and then promptly spent three days in the woods with no cell just the family. Really a nice time. I have a video coming up with a pick in it that is just for Butch. Jed, guys, I’ve got 25 + years of tree work experience mostly without fancy things. Ie: bucket trucks, skid steer, crane. I love the crane. It makes me happy.

Ya Mick. I got started in it because I could charge for the hazard. Kept me out of needing to pay for college. Same with commercial fishing. But, I do love it. I like solving puzzles with stiff consequences for failure. Butch, the warm body comment was just meaning that people who need a job, any job, donít necessarily have work ethic and we end up sifting through them to find functional motivation. If I hire people who do what they enjoy, I am getting the advantage of built-in motivation (work ethic for that vocation.) I worked in a grocery store when I was young. I had bad work ethic for that (by my standards at least). I was miserable doing that. People who love to watch tree work videos are usually good candidates for hire, especially if they do tree work and then go home and watch videos LOL.

I was laboring with calluses from the time I was a little boy. Work ethic got me going but, what really got me going beyond that was love for the work. All the guys working with me love the job and sought it out. Warm bodies are a waste of time and energy. . .Always a new plan to try to help them get their drivers license or something. No thanks, I’m glad I have I late bloomer figured that out.

Ya boxer has suspension too. Itís NICE. V is better machine than boxer tho. DW prolly the best. Yes Jed, my LMI is still down so I just like to make sure Iím not over pulling, thatís why am always wanting to make sure itís cut off (itís easier for me to read through the pick if they just do one cut and one attachment point as per recommended here.) subject comes up a lot, even in this video here. . . The part when Damien is looking down at me, thatís what Iím telling him I would rather he do (around the 4:51 mark.)

ya I hear that a lot. They've no support near us tho, never even see them around here. It's Morbark country. Vermeer covers the area well but from afar. I heard that both bandit and conehead were spin-offs of Morbark (X-morbark factory guys).

AX 19 is a beast but pricey. 2131 is good value. I guess they’re both good value but price really is a thing. . . Bandit ain’t a thing here.

Ya 52. All my work buddies have sought me out from YouTube. Damien had a couple 3 crane jobs he did with Reon in Wisconsin before I bought mine. Joe had none. I have several years of climbing for crane before the age of YouTube in which I only spider legged once or twice and all my cuts were one cut picks. That was the Seattle area and also OR. I never operated a crane before I bought mine except on fishing boats. So yeah IMA treework crane op newbie cept for the climbing part.

Nobody climbed the fir there. We did use a pull rope on one of them (as per super-munter). I guess I just wedged the fir there because I could. It was wedgeable :) Jed, thanks on the props. The lines have been fairly well trenched into the sand on the God subjects around here if you haven’t noticed though, so don’t go stirring that up over here (unless you just gotta be you:) Jed, it’s the ax that “buddy” sent me from here on the treehouse. Heavy head, I like that. I think I’ll shorten up the handle though. Jed, I feel like I’ve agreed ample times on here about single attachment point being faster/sufficient most of the time. I’ve even agreed that it’s hard not to fidget around when they’re carving the stem to origami to float it out. -——> I just seldom MICRO-MANAGE MY CREW ON THE MATTER. <——— each time I have said that here, it hasn’t seemed very inflammatory to me. I’ll not fight them or anyone here much about crane-pick strategies. I’ll speak plain about speed-lining use though. I’m qualified to do that even at the tender young age of 50-something.

Face palm is the term. I was fishing those limbs out from under the canopy Butch. Not at all like the ones you pictured. I'd have one point picked what you showed as well. Not that Damien or Joe would. I've said it before here but I'll say it again, I don't micro-manage much. The "never develop" jab was in response to the "overuse of speed-line" comment. That was bs. I don't over use that. It's my field of expertise. It's under-utilized by those who don't no when it's better because they've not used it enough to master it (and it's easy.) Here's my latest vid. Its a fun one I think. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FQRCGDK7ehw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
