Hey, Reg. Something I forgot to ask in my last post, is how tall that 30 year old Redwood managed to get, and if it was one of the giant redwoods or a coast redwood? I also wanted to say, in retrospect, that it amazes me that you can shoot and do such a great job of editing from one day to the next. It is a really powerful capability to have in your tool box. Thanks again. Tim

We can still scavenge the dump here in Tassie...we call it 'Tip Shopping' So I brought a bag of the chip mulch to Garden Club last night for the trade table, someone bought my $5 bag for $6 (we have a little auction of odds and ends and the money goes towards our bus trips)...and another lady gave me $10 to drop off two bags...(she only lives round the corner so that's ok, no delivery fee haha) The local nurseryman was there as the speaker for the evening with loads of nice plants and supplies...I spent $30 of 'Chip money' on a truffle infused oak tree whip...apparently in about 10 years I'll get truffles...so we've booked a date 10 years hence for the great truffle party...just have to train the neighbour's dog to snuffle them...LOL. In the meantime, said oak will grow up in some pots for a while...till I find somewhere to plant it!

Great video, great sound track, as always, Reg. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to shoot, edit and post it. Amazing trees, too bad they were not put in a spot where they could be left alone to grow as big as conditions might allow. Tim

Smooth. I like seeing the cuts you make. Opening shot of your setup is nice. What is the over the shoulder gear bag? What do you keep in that?

The bagged wood chip mulch is going strong for the moment...seven bags today! Looking ahead, I foresee a slump once all those garden beds are covered...but in the meantime...coffee money!

Well done to all the saluting branches volunteers! Last four bags of mulch went today, before lunch time, I had three people after them! I have borrowed our storm damage sandbag filling stand to fill my bags...works pretty good, but that trashcan idea sounds better, get one as close to the size of my bags... Looks like I'll be filling more soon, I'm rapped! (Aussie slang for really pleased)

Yeah, someone else said that...why? So they get a bit steamy, what's the problem? Other than might make them look nicer? I had 18 bags three days ago...only 4 left! (there are about 250 people in my village, and I don't 'even live on the main street, lol)

Thanks. You just taught me something about end points for a zip line. Good process to deliver cargo to a high ending point over obstacles and then lower to the DZ. At 3:46...at first I thought that was a guy line to the fir (?) behind you...but I think maybe it is the zip line high end that "transits" through where you are cutting...your work position area? That lets the live fir handle part of the load?

My warning sign for a reoccurrence of my C5/6 impingement is numbness in the pad of my thumb. Then it's a reminder to adopt proper posture and flex and relax my back and neck. I recovered from total numbness in thumb and first two fingers, back of my hand and forearm...about 10 years ago. Seriousl muscle imbalance, I then had VERY good physio, massage and exercises. Yes, polesaw heavy helmet, the prolonged looking up, head back really exacerbated it. I thought my career was over...thanks to correct diagnosis and treatment and ongoing awareness I'm still going strong :) Good luck!

As an objective, the Zone System printing guys always shot for visible detail in both the highlight areas of a photograph, as well as the shadow areas of a photograph. Ansel Adams was the inventor of the Zone System, I believe. Thanks. Here's a link to a Wiki page about it. Of course, in the first paragraph Ansel denies having invented the idea, claiming only to have codified existing knowledge, along with his work mate, Fred Archer. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone_System
