I watched a bit of it, she is impressively constructed that’s for sure. Very nice mixture, powerful without being overmuscled for a woman, good posture, well proportioned. Wasn’t really watching the fishing, but if she knows what she’s doing, good for her.

Keep on keeping on Al. Love the story of you meeting up with your old submarine pals. That’s what life’s all about, moments.

It’s tricky, but he was 21 and it was in the 21st century not the 1970s which is a bit baffling. I reckon he’ll survive it, but his woke credentials have taken a battering.

I suppose we are the first humans (or indeed species) that can (to any extent) choose the manner of our demise and how much pain we want. My mother had a massive stroke one morning and died that day 2009, my father expired in 2014 with my sister at his side due to multiple issue associated with age, relatively pain free, both of a decent age. I’m truly sorry it looks like you’ll be robbed of 10/15 years Butch, it’d be glib of me or anyone else to offer anything but sympathy, I don’t know how I’d cope. All I can say is remember that song from The Mule, make your peace with who you need to, leave nothing unsaid. (No point in using that call me a asshole, that horse has bolted!)

Grim times Butch, I hope that whatever happens from here on in you can grab some pleasure. Ps. The comedown from mushrooms was bloody awful for me (though like Pete they grew in the fields round here)

Poplar stumps around a football pitch today and tomorrow, luxury! Jeans and trainers. Felled 4 years ago so the consistency of a stale biscuit. Grind ’em down, then run across the top of the grindings with the flail. Barely breaking sweat.

Sure, but I wonder how many flew off on the wobble after a top went.

Yes, one bad swing of the axe and he’s back flipping to the promised land. I’ve seen that clip many times, I always think how little effort and thought it would take to put another line lower down, just for the topping cut.

I can see if you’re doing ROW work with multiple spar drops how a line is a pita (unless you HAVE to of course) If it’s domestic with one or two trees, you might as well use a pull line.

Yes I did, a second hand new to me Schliesing, 75hp. But I kept the smaller one because A: I still owe 10k on it and B: The Schliesing at 2.2 tonne is a little big to tow around for Mrs Miggins apple tree job. I keep hoping that one day weíll solve all the issues. So I guess Iím a dreamer!

Ok thanks, agreed, a more technical qualification would have been an asset. As I often tell my nephews, the older you get the narrower your options, not that they listen of course. I didn’t at the same age (or indeed any age!)
