Had forgotten about this bit. Gave me a good excuse to give Guy a call. He tells me the ISA and Best management practices etc in the US are falling way behind the Europeans..

I blocked it out. Can't help it. Even on a pip-squeak tree. It was a thread the needle shot.

Vermeer is sold by RDO here. A company twice the size of Vermeer. No one compares to Vermeer/RDO here for customer service, site visits, demos, they work along side us, and not just me, but the other locals here too. They are consistently king. I like Vermeer as a company and RDO too. It's just been steady excellence. It aint the same everywhere I guess. To bad, but there's plenty for everyone I reckon. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LaCB_YYvUys" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Seems good ol' work ethic and making it on your own is going by the wayside, and being replaced by lazy liberals who think they deserve a free lunch. And you're all racists, too, by the way.

got a call for a stump job ion the city.. Google mapped it and found this pic https://www.google.com/maps/@39.9887441,-75.1817976,3a,60y,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1srL8pI0AMUXyt6PkEPHTBFA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 guy told me the stump was 3' diameter and 3 ' tall. I'd say its closer to 6' diameter. He wants it ground deep for concrete.. I said $1,000.

^^^ HAHAHAHAHA that “I do things hit me right in the funny bone. FWIW guys, you are seeing one pass the cuts from Jeff because he’s green and he’s doing what I tell him to do. Those one pass cuts are a lot easier to read for me especially without the LMI.

Waste of effort, and not a safer option. No disrespect to Augusts guys, or Mark C, but they only delay the inevitable, and hinder a climbers development

I've brushed both... the gutters on purpose, knowing it was just branch tips... the lines weren't.. got me thinking ... Hey did you let that run? I told you to hold tight. couldn't give him too much grief though as I wasn't sure if he was acting carelessly or totally had it dialed in...

I'm a strong believer in managed forests. Always have been and always will. The rotation faster now. That's all. I like bigger tree.

I know the guy that tipped the bucket truck in devon. Went to HS with him .. He forgot to put the outriggers down... think it was a case of getting distracted... Glad mine has sensors even though they screw up once in a while.

I like that one Butch. That’s a keeper. Jed, my favorite work is tree falling. But I like to make money so I love the crane. Thanks all, I just posted this video up and then promptly spent three days in the woods with no cell just the family. Really a nice time. I have a video coming up with a pick in it that is just for Butch. Jed, guys, I’ve got 25 + years of tree work experience mostly without fancy things. Ie: bucket trucks, skid steer, crane. I love the crane. It makes me happy.

About August Hunicke
Biography:
Born (1968) and raised in the Alaskan bush. No power, no running water my entire childhood. We lived almost entirely off the land, eating salmon and moose meat primarily. Bought rice, beans, and wheat in large sacks periodically. My father was originally from Southern California but after Vietnam wasn't welcomed home. He made his own home with my beautiful mother in Hatcher Pass Alaska, far from stores and cars and highways. He built the log cabin I was born in. He delivered me and my brothers and sisters there and raised us up working hard. He read us the bible and taught us about God. I'm not ashamed of it nor do I think I have to plead with anyone to "get saved." Growing up, I was embarrassed at times by where we lived and thought we were poor because we didn't have light switches and drive a k car. Now I know we were rich. Rich in substance and heart and capability. I thought I was lazy as a child because I didn't look forward to all the hard work. I found out later when I entered the work force in the tree and also commercial fishing industries that I was not lazy but in fact stood out as a hard worker. I live in Oregon now, 2 miles from my now civilized parents (light switches and all) because they moved here. I have a beautiful wife and little ones. I want them to be close to my parents. Home is wherever my parents go and I intend to carry on the legacy of love of my father until I die in all my relationships, including here at the Tree House.
