Merle Nelson replied to a thread Dump Trailers in Gear Forum
Brian, maybe you need to do a bit more research into functionality. I opened that link and all I saw was double ram units. As far as I understand those are weak compared to sissors type rams. Youtube has lots of vids of different manufacturers trailers features including how they dump full loads. Look at the higher end Midsota trailers for ideas at least. Having a trailer shipped to you if that's what it takes to get the right one is affordable compared to what you describe in headachs, retrofit time and cost, and lost useful productivity during your work cycles.

Only thing left to do is step into a room with a mirror and ask, "What do I believe in, have faith in, and preach?" We all do it.

:) For us all...one of the big benefits of The TreeHouse. Cory, yes Funeral of The Pines. He does use it to go bigger, not sure of all the pluses.

Welcome to The Tree House AQ. Did you see Lawrence just put out a rigging video on his youtube channel - pretty intense. Coincidentally, in both that and the BT10 video August just put out they each showed the 'double whip tackle' lowering method previously spoken about by Cory.

Welcome to The Tree House Arbfit. Are you going to do any info posts here? One thing I have always liked about the arb forums is the idea of semi permanent status for the info posted - it can be searched over time as new people join and want to learn about a particular topic. Can you do that with instagram and facebook over the years?

Ha, that's interesting. Magnus, I have one sticking open on a Husky 372XP I just bought used from a customer. Would you tend to think in terms of replace it, or is there a lube that should loosen it up. (Powerhead probably only has 30 hours or less on it.) (I pull it closed with my fingers after start up.) Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

And that's why to get started early, and to decide who you want to help with what. More people will want to help than you will need - if you let it in. A lot can be done remotely by computer too, even with help in knowing what to list out as want and don't want on a directive. From my experience about every new med contact, any ambulance ride, any emergency services help should have that available - so a lot of copies, not one or two.

Ahh...it sounded like a good idea at first. I have a 1990 F350 single that has made a lot of money. I continue to use it often even though I just bought a new Ram 5500. I would like to always have a 350 single in my market - beefed up dump insert here. About 6 yard chip capacity.

Wespur suggests a harder lay three strand that works very well with it, Arbor Master? It just slips till load is below slipping point. Only time I had it happen I was sliding big block cuts off a stem with no friction relief. It slipped a few inches of rope through system to relieve pressure.

I'm surprised the change caught on so quickly. Seems it might not need to happen again. MRS makes sense because it distinguishes double rope from double rope where both legs are stationary (some people are climbing on that, as I understand it.)

If complexity includes understanding the pairing process and the finicky aspects of same you might like the newer 30K model. It automatically pairs to other units in its vacinity.
