Why is the truck wiggling??? Hahaha.... That's one thing I've never had to ask. Cuz I've never used anything with Outriggers. Had to be freaky. Unexpected movement can be a bitch. I was once on a high step ladder which was on top of a sheet of plywood which was on top of the pews of a church. It was the only way we had at the time to reach the chandeliers to change light bulbs. Me being young agile and probably dumb ended up being the one going up the ladder to change the freaking bulbs. The system was pretty stable so I couldn't understand what was wrong but as I touched the chandelier it was like I was fixing to fall.. That's when I realized that the chandelier had moved slightly very slightly and that unexpected movement really played with my head.

I just downloaded the app. It is pretty interesting. I have friends in countries such as Burma Myanmar that surely have hard to find villages in ethnic areas. This is an interesting concept. I'm currently sitting here at unlit.discontent.brew burning off a pile of trash at our farm.

Just curious about this climber. Was he a screamer? Did he get mad about a misunderstanding of an instruction? I'm just interested in the backstory that would cause him to lose a good ground man due to a possible lack of control of this climber's own emotions. I'll understand if it's not something you wish to get into. Thanks. Tim

Like Burnam, I get weird about stuff being off level. My years in construction did that to me. Level and plumb. Every once in a while, my back cut will go high low to apex, but mostly when tired. Just ain't holding my mouth right for the weariness. Just keep practicing and correcting. More experience equals better cutting.

Yep...that ferry video was disturbing. There was some panic there I am sure while they tried to figure out what to do. Pretty sure I saw a passenger's arm in the windshield.

Thanks for the feedback, Gary. For me, when I click on the picture, it launches the Gif in a new tab, on the Imgur website. Thanks again. Initially I don't know if it was doing anything.

When I clicked on the three dots, it just generated a title that said "Embed this post", with a big green "Copy" button laid on top, with the gif internet address already highlighted. I clicked on the green "Copy" button, then pasted that address into my post. All I ended up with was a still photo taken from the whole gif. So I don't know what the heck is going on, or what it is I'm doing wrong. Sorry to be a pain in the neck. Tim

I think for some reason this thread is no longer "stickied", and it's being driven further and further down the page. Not sure if it's a glitch, or if Butch changed his mind about keeping it "stickied". I just came looking for it because of an animated gif I was trying to embed, and had a tough time finding it just now. I knew it had been stickied, and I thought it was in the "Announcements" subheading, but when I did not see it listed as stickied there, I started going through every other subheading looking for it, with no success, obviously. Also, the instructions here did not seem to work for my attempt at embedding from Imgur, for some reason. It may be that I'm just having an off day, cognitively speaking. Anyway, I was hoping Butch could chime in with an answer about the "stickie" status of this thread. Thanks in advance for your time and attention. Tim

An attempt to post that chainsaw kickback gif, in an embedded fashion. <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="KIFakUR"><a href="//imgur.com/KIFakUR"></a></blockquote><script async src="//s.imgur.com/min/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

A family got attacked by a wolf in a Canadian park....1AM, came in their tent. Another fellow heard the screams and comes to their aid...actually breaks up the attack. Hoorah....hero stuff. Then makes comment he regrets "kicking the wolf"....help me understand the mentality of regretting kicking a wolf to save people????? .....The wolf was starting to drag Matthew away when a neighboring camper, Russ Fee, heard the family's screams and jumped in to help. "The screams were so intense that I knew it was obviously a terrible situation," Fee told CNN affiliate CBC. "So I just kind of kept running at , and I just kicked it sort of in the back hip area." Fee said he immediately regretted kicking the wolf, but it did make the animal release Matthew and pop out of the tent. Matthew soon followed, and the two started screaming and throwing rocks at it...... https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/14/us/wolf-attack-canada-trnd/index.html

  1. Yeah, thanks....we can all learn something if we are open to it. Brian has issues, I reckon...I'll just let him stew and work out his own way to be involved.

I enjoy your posts...glad to have you at the House.
