I had a treehouse for my kids...with nylon netting in the windows to prevent falling out. Squirrels definitely did chew that corded netting. Don't leave life lines in trees unattended. Uber stupid to do that. When I worked for a tree company way back we left lines in trees overnight. We were stupid...don't be that way.

Yep..that "pulling the butt forward off the stump" gives me the Willies (sorry Willie!!!). I have not seen it happen but the first time someone described that it COULD happen I got a bad feeling in my stomach. I remember seeing my uncle back in the 70's hook a chain to his tractor and put it about arm's reach high on a big (at least 70 foot) pine right by his house. I don't remember all the details of how he cut the tree but he got it down safely like farmer's usually do stuff. He did some kind of chainsaw cuts and then pulled it with the tractor. But it was a prime candidate for him pulling that tree from the bottom off the stump before the top started tipping. I didn't know enough to tell him it was possible...he probably would have just smiled at this city boy/nephew and kept on anyway.

"Drag" here is part of the vernacular...colloquial for men dressing in women's clothes. from a google search: 3. INFORMAL an act of inhaling smoke from a cigarette. "he took a long drag on his cigarette" 4. clothing more conventionally worn by the opposite sex, especially women's clothes worn by a man. "a fashion show, complete with men in drag" 5. short for drag race. INFORMAL a street or road. "the main drag" HISTORICAL a private vehicle like a stagecoach, drawn by four horses.

Yep...I rescued one that was up 8 days, which included 2 ice storms...bad juju in GA. Squishy...yep, that last tumbler cat that hit sideways from 40' up looked all stove up and punch drunk. I talked to the owner a week or so later and the cat was fine.

hahaha....not a bad idea. I did have another cat panic when I shot the BS up into his tree...he was probably 40 feet up...and fell when he heard the throwbag hit the tree about 20 feet above him. He tumbled out, thudded onto the dirt and promptly sat up -- but all crooked. He was leaning and swaying, all woozy...stunned and didn't look right. The owner insisted on giving me $100 as they bundled him up and ran him to the vet. I called them later...vet pronounced the cat fine and they had him back home. Cats are stupid...and tough as hell.

I went on a cat rescue a few years ago...$250 plus travel. The cat spooked while I was setting a throwline to install my climb line. It jumped from about 30 feet..I didn't see it but I heard the thud. It was sitting there all stunned like "what just happened"...the lady owner came out and took the cat in. I felt bad, but what the heck...I got the cat down. :D Anyway, I pointed out to her a big pine limb hanger over the area (same tree) where her kids played. She asked if I could get it down. I was able to use a throw line to do it. Put all my gear up, she asked me about a few more trees, pressed a wad of cash in my hand and I left...nice lady. I stopped down the road to count....$600. Best tip I ever got. That hanger was the clincher.:)

High altitude bombing there. Once you had that hole opened up it was impressive to see those chunks fall that far. Being on the side of that "Y" it looks like you used the long tail of your rigging ring line to tie off to the other side of the Y...assume to stabilize that Y crotch while you were climbing and rigging from it. Always a pleasure to watch your work.

I agree...very well done. Great setting, colors...good drone use. No sound here, though...intentional?
