Sounds like a nice ride, Gary. Were you leery of the sorta high mileage?

Bruh you are turning into the Steve Irwin of tree work!;) Geez I'm surprised babies this early in the year. IME, there's a 99.8% chance mama will be back pronto to retrieve and relocate her family. Speaking of spring time, I watched some crows building a nest high in a white pine this morning

Loved the music, where do you find that spooky stuff? Job wasn't worth getting a crane, looked like there mighta been access? So I guess they are going to split all that wood into firewood, eh? Thanks much for posting. Inspirational stuff :drink:

Definetly awesome! Hey I suspect many of you know of Jocko, but if you don't you might check out these 2 vids. He's smart and very experienced. He has a way of explaining things simply and clearly. If you like, there is a ton more online. He'd probably make a good president. https://youtu.be/7lkBBsSzfOg https://youtu.be/iMl-VGypV04

Around here they are in the majority ime. Also, if you want bigger capacity crane I guess you would have to get a rear mount. I've never seen bigger than 26t mounted behind the cab.

AH, looks like you are hitting alot a home runs with your crane. Now that you've had it for awhile, are you thinking you'd like a rear mount or are you happy with behind the cab mount?

Ive been running the 572 chip saw for idk 5years. Basically no issues. It is what a 372 used to be. Old 372 were legend, but yeah the last 5+years of them are hard starting junk.

Nice vid, Page. Not sure how I missed it earlier. Interesting to see so many picks landed backwards.

That's cool, Reg. Hey, all the dead cedars you reference, is it just natural die off or is there a particular problem affecting them?

Fair enough. I guess I was thinking less of habitat for raptors etc and more of lots of spiders and insects doing their work there. But wow, again, hella vid. Btw, hard to believe that you think tree work is kinda boring (I think that is how you've put it in the past). With the woods-skill shown, together with the superb filming and editing, one would think you truly enjoy the whole process.

That vid was mind blowing start to finish. Lot of amazing trees being cut. That first, huge, dead one- lordy there musta been a serious ecosystem in that tree alone.
