Do what works for you, Kyle. I'd never tell you to do differently just because I think such and such... But I'll maintain that if you are drinking multiple gallons of water on a temp/humidity stressful day like you report, and have issues with salts, then your base diet is not giving you what you need in that capacity. Carry on, sir. We can agree to disagree :).

"Much more expensive" is bad for the client, certainly...but their choice, my friend. In the case of a customer whom I'd advised of the absolute need to do X,Y, and Z right now...addition to the real costs of increased work, I'd add a dumb tax without a single qualm :). 10 percent seems suitable, 15 could be so as well if there was any attitude expressed by said client :/:. ;)

If you drink sufficient water, you'll never get dehydrated, and won't need ER levels of care to recover, and certainly not just to stay hydrated...duh! Circular logic. :D

Yeah, yeah Butch :)...we've beat that horse to death more than a few times. You remember, please sir...I was born and raised in the deep south. Firefighting crews travel all over the whole country. I know every bit as much as you do about the climate in central Louisiana, and many more places too.

I disagree, if you're eating right and drinking enough plain H2O. So yes, I'm telling you, my friend. Don't go trying to out-heat index a wildland firefighter, sir :0. No bother to me...do what suits you, each and every one. I know what I know, and y'all do to :D.

Electrolytes, smelectrolytes :). Bunch of hooie, methinks. Eat a solid, balanced diet, low fat, low salt, plenty of grains, fruit, and vegetables; some nuts, some fish, some animal-based protein; 3 squares a day, drink plenty of plain old water all day...you'll be fine, just like about 300,000 years of modern homo sapiens have done up until these last few hundred years or so. Foofoo special drinks...not.

I'm real sorry, Jed. I simply cannot follow your train of thought to have it make sense to me. I think you are way overthinking this. I'll say it again...convoluted, twisty grain is not going to reliably fold, as hingewood. Some will hold like a demon...some will break off early. No way to guess which it will be....but you almost certainly can expect dissimilar reactions from one end of a hinge to the other, cut down in that twisted grain. That alone means the expected direction as set by the hinge cannot be trusted to come to fruition. One end will pull stronger than the other, just like a tapered hinge or a dutchman will. Some trees will fall to the lay fine, sure...but some will not, and imo more will miss than hit. That makes the whole idea a bad one, from my perspective. All the rest you have posted about...this business of crush resistance...those ideas are going over my head. I don't understand, or for the parts I do think I understand what you're saying, I don't buy. Sorry bro, there it is. But please keep questioning me...just because I think you are wrong, and Stig thinks you are wrong, doesn't necessary mean you are wrong. I sure know I have been before, and I doubt Stig is flawless either...barely ;). But the odds are perhaps somewhat against you, my friend :). Just sayin' :D.

Push with a dozer like yours, Al...those are great numbers. But pull with it, after adding in a few blocks and several hundred feet of 1/2 inch cable...that old beast would shift the moon. That shipping container wouldn't stand a chance in hell of sitting still :). I'd bet you could move more than twice the weight of that dozer without breaking a sweat, done that way. But glad to read you goterdun, brother. Kuddos, as always.

Must be some glitch in Butch's forum software pictures delivery...I see no bad thing, and certainly no very bad thing :D. Kick additional azz and take more names Deva, my old friend. You might be getting weary of success at this point, but you'll just have to carry on, sir. Much applause from here.

I get it better now, Stig. Thanks. It does seem to me that those same issues would occur with small dogs, but that obviously isn't true for you.
