Measure your drive link top area sometime on your broke chains. Like a on oregon 050 it is 058 at the top of drive link where it goes together, stihl 050 is 063 at the top of the drive link where it goes together. Now if your running 063 on oregon then you get the 063 at top. This is why when your making chains in 050 you cant use oregon repair kits on the stihl chains. It will lock that area up. 063 besides strength is also for better pulling of bar oil around.

Dont know about the mark II part but I thought all T540 were autotune in US. One I ran was April 2014. I wasnt the only guy to notice this in 2014. A tree company owner in Calif noticed it too and said so before my post. Then 8 months later nov 2014 he tried another one = Ran a well broken in T540 today and it ran quite well. Perhaps a bit more torque than the 201. Thread and I was biting at bit waiting. Was just a let down for me. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/husqvarna/husqvarna-t540xp-demo/ What I said right after running. = just ran one today too. Not impressed. Heavier then the 338 and 540 had techlite bar. Not near the power in the cut of my well broken in 200. Also felt heavy in the rear 1 handing with 16" techlite. No where near the balance of the 338 IMO and not as balanced as the 200 was. All JMO. Wish I would have kept 1 of the 338's before selling them both. Yes I know 1 handing is voodoo and unsafe. ;)

I work on my own stuff for one and the 540 is a pita. I had demoed a 540 from my local dealer and I was pizzed I sold my muffler modded 338's. I had owned a 200T etc too. You couldnt give me a 540. JMO I have seen them FS local in the 200-250 range and I just bypass them.

Being just a on the side type shop. Guys walk in with beer, shine, etc etc. Have taken guns, shine, fresh ground beef etc on trade on labor and saws. Even beer on a chain sharpen. I know some firewood folks just aint got the $ for even my cash prices, let alone double or triple prices at the brand name shops. I told one of my friends and customers. This is him. Worked with the guy for about 28yrs. He also is getting ready to retire too in a few months. We always have a good laugh and brews while I am working on his saws. Pic hanging in shop has his name wrote on pocket.

Snow  :|: that last one buried me for 3 days. I had to call in the commercial guys to open my 700' drive. I tried but the ice snow mix and heavy 3'-4' first drift got me good. Rest of drive was 1' to 1.5' Nice to see the big dawg could do it.

Jason Egan, Egan Performance Saws in ID doing the porting on this one too. Just like the last one I had a local send to him. It is a monster in the cuts too. Good dude and very honest to deal with. Unlike a local guy I wont use or send folks to. He is a real POS!
