Thats stupid $$$ to pay for porting . Back when I got out of it in 2010 it was only $150 for a saw to be woods ported. The going rate today is 250-300 and most times the 3 includes the shipping back. Jed out your way in Idaho is Jason Egan a logger. He ports work saws and race saws for folks. He gets $300 for your work saws and that includes the shipping back to you. He decks and cuts squish etc. All the little bells and whistles some folks like now days in their work saws. He also does square chain for work and race. I have his info if you need it. He is on my chainsaw repair group FB. Also right now turn around has been slowed down once he was called back for cutting. Heck when I first met the guy coming through going to a race in SC. I loaned him my partner 5000 pipe saw to use with his own chain. Thats how much I trust this guy. When a local wants port work I have them ship to him. He did one mean 3120 for a logger I take care of local. Also recommend Scott Kunz a stihl dealer in WI. Sames prices. Have info too. Few others I could give info on too.

We have nesting boxes around our land for bluebirds and tree swallows. Give or take 24 years of keeping track of them. We got our first white bluebird baby.

Seen a TH 161 stihl version video posted last week in the chainsaw repair group. So options are coming out for you climbers. https://www.stihl.com/STIHL-power-tools-A-great-range/Chainsaws/Cordless-power-systems-chainsaws/288757-1508/MSA-161-T.aspx

I was doing some comparing. How many folks for the 750? I was talking with a logging buddy and he says he averages 300 gal a year with layoff time. He gets $10 extra a day for use on mix, bar oil or saw. Cuts 6 hrs a day. So paying 13-18 gallon for aspen here would not work for our folks. He said he is at the same cost I came up with 5 gallon 90 E-free with mix for around $20-$25 total cost. Just info from a logger here to compare.

Yesterday out fishing and looking at birds in the boat. Got to see a osprey dive down twice to catch a fish. There was 2 of them above us and was cool to watch. 2nd try we could see the fish as it flew. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Osprey/id#

Thanks for link. Enjoyed the pics. We visit a lake nearby to look for migrating birds going through. Fun thing to do together since retiring for me. Wanted to get closer looks at the birds from different areas and do some fishing etc. So broke down and bought a boat to dock at the lake now too. My son down for Easter has the islands nicknamed by the birds that hang out on them. Going by yesterday I see why now. One was double crested cormorant island. Loaded in the tree tops and water around it. :O No pics from yesterday. But here is what they look like. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Double-crested_Cormorant/overview#

Being just a on the side type shop. Guys walk in with beer, shine, etc etc. Have taken guns, shine, fresh ground beef etc on trade on labor and saws. Even beer on a chain sharpen. I know some firewood folks just aint got the $ for even my cash prices, let alone double or triple prices at the brand name shops. I told one of my friends and customers. This is him. Worked with the guy for about 28yrs. He also is getting ready to retire too in a few months. We always have a good laugh and brews while I am working on his saws. Pic hanging in shop has his name wrote on pocket.
