I'll have to check my local store. They even look stylish. $200 climbing pants? "I'm staying on the ground today guys. I forgot to wear my climbing pants."

CNN showed the spire going over. Then they showed it again from a different angle. Then they showed it 5 more times all from different angles. We get it CNN, the spire fell down. Thanks for shocking and desensitizing me all in the same minute of footage.

I can dig it! Be fun to run triplets around that triangle. Are you taping your sticks?

Sean, does your b.s. meter go off every time a groundman calls in "sick" or is good help so hard to find that you bite your tongue and hope it's only for one day? Working construction, diarrhea is a popular go to for a sick(hungover) day or else pick a body part and say that it's "tweaked". You know the strains and sprains are bull when it's so bad they can't work today but are miraculously good to go tomorrow. I'm not trying to trash your guys, just sharing some anecdotal experiences and venting a bit.:|:

I'd like to clarify that my comment about the hug was sincere and not sarcasm. I feel the respect for eachother in that age group would be more genuine compared to two adults with all their negative baggage.

Good fight. Impressive to throw that many kicks and knees without gassing out. The hug at the start of the third round hit a soft spot in my chest.

Stig, did you offer to plant a replacement? I removed an ornamental apple, the whole time wondering why the work order said "keep track of time." It was supposed to be a prune. I felt pretty stupid. The boss even got me to pay for half of the replacement.

Stig and Butch, I'm making a conscious effort to be less miserable day to day, knowing that you guys are putting in some hard time. Hope things smooth out for you guys.

My van has a tape player which I've started using since the CD player is reluctant to eject discs. I had an adapter for the cassette deck to run my walkman (mp3) but it calved so now I'm going thru a suitcase of old tapes. Not so easy to skip songs which is a nice change.

I've got Primus' album "Pork Soda" in the tape player in the van this week. Everybody thought Prodigy's "Firestarter" was awesome back in the day.

A guy I worked for made the mistake of telling the customer an hourly rate. She timed everything from when I stopped for a sip of water to a quick talk with the neighbor. He told her to never call us again and she never did. Another old bag liked to think we were booked for an entire day while she followed me around the yard nit picking as I trimmed hedges and shrubs, telling me to take the hedge down to the "quick" which meant no leaves left at all on top. One visit we left after 4-5 hours to fit one more job in and she was dissatisfied feeling we "rushed" out of there. The best customer is one that isn't there when you are.

Set up a gopro on a tripod in a safe place and either tape the whole job or set it on the intermittent mode where it takes a snap every 30 secs. The vid is better for snipping action shots with the only downfall being everything from the same angle/distance.

If he drops them all one after another saving old long limb for last, you would hope his cuts are going to be as good as they've ever been after dialing it in on the easy ones. Robert, there better be some pics of good looking notches upon completion of this job.

You're not a climber at all Robert? While most of the row are easy flops with proper felling cuts and a pullrope, it would be nice to just remove the side weight of the one iffy tree and make it any easy drop like the rest. Your tree service might need another dimension than just muscling everything over.
