Set up a gopro on a tripod in a safe place and either tape the whole job or set it on the intermittent mode where it takes a snap every 30 secs. The vid is better for snipping action shots with the only downfall being everything from the same angle/distance.

$150. You can change the tone just by spinning the drum on the threaded mount. I never knew that. He had a little 6" roto tom on it's own stand but I didn't think it was worth the $50.

I found some used Roto toms to gather dust with the rest of my neglected drum kit. 100% impulse purchase with zero regret.8)

There was probably 15 % over 40 and 95% male which is typical of any metal show I've been to. The first time we went to see COC a few years back we weren't expecting the drummer because he had an alcoholic seizure in Edmonton but managed to sober up enough for the Wpg show which was nice cause he's an excellent drummer. Hard life of a rock band I suppose.

My first time for earplugs. It was kinda nice, eliminated a bunch of stage "noise". COC was awesome. Receding hairlines and wrinkled skin but still kicking ass! The drum tech had to fill in, I hear the drummer might like the booze a bit too much....

It was good. Sloped floor helped the view but killed my back and one calf. Thank gawd the venue had earplugs, it was super loud. It's awesome watching pro drummers, everything looks so effortless. 2 hours of sleep in -50c wind isn't so awesome today mind you.

Going into Winnipeg tonight to see Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar and two other metal acts. I can tell I'm getting old when my main concern is standing for 5 hours while sidestepping drunk idiots. Should be good and loud though. Butch did you integrate the module with your kit yet?

I replaced power steering hose last winter and again this winter. They'll only warranty for 3 months because a Caravan is notorious for blowing them. The tips of my big toes felt like someone was holding a lighter to them all night. Minor frostbite I suppose.

The plant crashed too, so we're all outside doing emergency work. Tarping in the bottom of the cooling towers. Crazy how warm -15 c will feel after this.

If he drops them all one after another saving old long limb for last, you would hope his cuts are going to be as good as they've ever been after dialing it in on the easy ones. Robert, there better be some pics of good looking notches upon completion of this job.

You're not a climber at all Robert? While most of the row are easy flops with proper felling cuts and a pullrope, it would be nice to just remove the side weight of the one iffy tree and make it any easy drop like the rest. Your tree service might need another dimension than just muscling everything over.

Watched 10 minutes of the first link. Excellent playing and vocals, sir. The whole group is pretty damn good.

My buddy started on a single milk crate as a kid and didn't upgrade to a proper throne well into his teens. Looked funny, big guy down by the floor still killing the drums.

Probably close to 10 years ago. I barely touch the acoustic kit these days. Too loud for innocent bystanders.

Recorded through an I-Rig into my Samsung S5. Auxillary cable from my desktop speaker headphone jack to the input of the Yamaha drum brain. Hope someone gets a kick out of it.:) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vXJYQ9obxpo" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
