after getting an email from someone and seeing a phrase in latin I googled the meaning, so here ya go, the Coast Guard mantra:

Semper Paratus (Latin for "Always prepared") is the official slogan of the United States Coast Guard. A march by that name is also the official march of the Coast Guard.

Carpe Diem-- seize the day

Carpe Jugulum -- seize their throat!

:)

Veni, Vidi, Gauisus Sum.

I came, I saw, I partied.

Wow, Latin class was a long time ago.

juglito ergo sum

I juggle, therefore, I am.

As I understand it,"Fortitudine" was the original slogan of the Corps, always vigalant or something like that.

This one was on one of the u-boats I served on."power to repel the darkness".Trust me,that was an understatement.:/:

Al, you served on u-boats?! I must have missed that fact about you. Das Boot is my favorite movie ever. I've got a whole new level of awenessness for you.

TS

Aw geez, Tom. Now you've done it. Do you have any idea just how difficult ol' Al is gonna be after he reads your post and gets all full of himself?
