I wish I could let mine go...but I can't. The best handled ascender for those with larger hands IMO.

I buy a LOT of gear from CMI and get a pretty good discount. I could ask them how much for one if you like.
I would love to trade mine for something better.
It has developed a tendency to slip on rope.
I have tested the spring strength against the springs on a couple of other ascenders of the same kind and it doesn't seem weak.
Only problem is, I can't find anything better.
Suggestions, anyone?

I've got the CMI double handle one and the petzl ascentree and the ascentree is a better design IME, more reliable and you have the option to use it as a foolocking (haha) double rope as well. I still love my CMI and can't see parting with it unfortunately.

Those of you using this ascender:
Sounds like you all like it? would you say its worth it? I would go for the petzl but its twice as much and I don't ever climb doubled rope.
