I returned esterday from this year's javalina bow hunt. For the first time in six years I came back without a javie.....but I had plenty of fun. First time for everything-I got attacked by a wounded Feral Hog. Charged me from about 20 feet, knocked me down and cut up my left leg a little (nothing serious, one 3 inch and one 1.5 inch shallow gashes) A little danger is FUN ...after it is over.:D

That does seem pretty wild, Justin. There was a pig related fatality in my area last year, an older guy went up to attend his orchard and never came home. All around his body and blood were a pig's footprints.

Damn Stump that hog could have eaten you and spit out a pile of bones .Not good .

I'm a thinkin that bow would be better served with a 30:06 instead .

That's cool! Are they overpopulated there or not too bad? Are they as tough as your basic wild boar?

Ummm. The Javalina are there in significant numbers but not overpopulated. The Feral hogs ARE your basic wild boar. -Those are present but not yet numerous.
