rottin' maple tops 3 cuts

Definitely scary dead.. Personally ... I would have set a high line into the tree next door if possible before getting out of the bucket. Not being critical Murph.

I quit watching after seeing the " jerk and wiggle" method for pulling the rotten lead. using a 4:1 or a z-rig would have been the smarter play.

Bunch of mistakes, but it appears you got out of it unscathed.

Using a 200 sure makes the stem seem bigger, next time try a 44 it will be down faster than you can perm a mullet:)

Funny you should mention that...

I was just viewing a video of a beech takedown from the day before yesterday... the tape never lies..

So here's a car talk puzzler, tree man style.....

Two large live beech leads, growing about 45º,maybe 16-20" diameter each....
It was 17 seconds from the time the saw started to the time the second lead broke free.... What kind of cut was used?
