I've always loved this guy.

I've read most of his books, 'Comet' was my favorite. At one point wanted to get back in school at Cornell, mainly because he taught there.

His contemporary David Attenborough is in the same class, he makes natural science as accessible as Sagan did astronomy.

When I drove for Penfield Ther-a-pedic as a "bedbug" in Syracuse I made numerous house deliveries as well as store deliveries and his was one of them - I delivered his bed in Ithaca just a few months before his death.

Incidentally, Cosmos is pronounced "COZ-mus." Not "COZ-mose." I never knew that until recently. Sort of like "Ne-AN-der-tall."

Cool thread. And I like that "cosmus'' post.
