Went to the Booneville fair Sunday and found these old saws in a display.

Two were pneumatic. The old Wright Saw was actually a reciprocating blade. The rest are something else.

Ha ,if you got that old Wright stuck it would shake the teeth right out of your head before you could shut it off .

They are not fast but mace super smooth cut when filed correct!
I started one of mine just to see as the curiosity was getting too much!

It was used here mostly by the fruit growers and gardeners.

The one in first pic looks like Reed Prentice air saw.
These are pretty early, and grand kids to the first US made saw, Wolf!

I saw some relatives of a friend of mine used one like the Wright saw to cut a hanging beef in half. Right down the spine.

I spent part of a winter on the dummy end of a Mall model 7 helping my uncle .Smoke isn't the word for it .A little bit loud too .

Actually, the air saws were Ingersol Rand.
Ingesoll made no saws.
Wolf/Reed-Prentice made them.

These are Reed Prentice from what I can tell from the pic.

Here you can see one of the earlier ones in Nico Henkens collection.
