2001 vermeer 9 inch...935?
perkins 35 hp diesel
1200 hrs
single feed wheel, pre bump bar era
former united rentals unit
jacknifed into curb in reverse:cry::
damaged spindle on lt side
and ring that holds chute on to housing (swivel point)
new knives, decent anvil,
hasnt been run in 3 months
$3000.00
spindle is generic...vermeer brand is $340.00, generic?
everything else appears ok
is it worth it?:?
i figured most ok machines are usually 3 to 5 grand to start

he'll take it in 2 payments as well...bonus

They are a decent trim chipper but no comparison to a 12" unit. I've run a couple rental units and I think it should be worth $3K or close to it. If you can match up a generic hydro motor then that's the way to go. Vermeer gets top dollar for putting that yellow paint on generic parts.

I think it is worth it.......but I know a guy who bought one running with okay spindles for $2100. ( Makes you wish you could have been there doesn't it?)
