My Tachyon splice

Well, here it is, my second Tachyon splice! I haven't had time to get a pic of the first, but since it was just practice for this one they are practically the same. As far as everything goes, I'm extremely happy with the end result. It all went extremely smoothly compared to the first one. I'm espically happy with the whiplock, as it's only my third attempt at it and I think it cam out pretty sweet!

You have an aptitude for splicing, it would seem, Ranger...very nice looking work.

RD- just to make sure- Looking at your pic, I see a tiny eye. I give 2 thumbs up. But I also notice one other thing. An eye that size should be rounder. If the core tail gets sucked in a few millimeters, it puts slack in the cover in the eye, and that allows the eye to have a pinched look to it- where instead of a teardrop shaped eye, you have a slanted eye.

Does the eye itself look squishy?

Other than that, it looks smooth and neat. The whipping looks tidy. Which directions/method did you use for the whipping?
