Couple of things jumped out at me watching this

First of all was the not using a tire or dynamic rope to create a bounce effect. Also not using a snatch block and then notice how close the guys stand to the cable under tension?

for your enjoyment:

An F150 is kind of a light chassis to try and mount a wrecker winch on, taint it?

I was stuck once in a bucket truck and it took first a chipper truck, then a tow truck, then a school bus (all pulling at once) that just happened to stop by.

Funny, about 4 minutes in, I thought, wow, that frame is tweaking!
Remind me not to loan my company vehicles out!

I believe I saw that in the Dukes of Hazzard.

I remember the episode where they spent the entire show fixing the tractor, and when it was fixed the last shots were of them getting air, and when it landed, it broke again.

Dummm asses.

Who ever heard of a half ton tow truck? Musta bought it at Wallys World.

Oh come on now you never heard the phrase "BUILT FORD TOUGH"

Well I have seen some crazy things, but that is pretty wild!I think the leverage from the winch did him in due to being placed so far foreword. Bending/breaking the frame there is a typical Dodge problem with the half tons. I've seen many of a half ton tow truck used for light duty, which is what they thought that was.
And yes, they could have double or quadruple blocked that winch, but I still think the frame would have bent because of the winch placement.
