The UK tallest tree 209 ft Douglas Fir :D

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/7911032.stm

I was lucky enough to be involved in the UK Tall Trees 2009 Project. What a fantastic three days, climbing three 200ft+ trees. The climbing technique's were a combination of SRT and DRT. Using the trusted TreeFlex harness. We also had a bit of help from the ACC electric ascender and the PME petrol ascender. All very kindly lent to us from Safetytechnology.co.uk
Will post the videos later today

Cheers

weight is 7.5kg / 16 1/2 lb

16.5lbs ??????

I have a tanaka gas auger like the one they use as their powerplant and Im pretty sure it alone weighs more than that. Ill have to weigh it.

Did you weigh the unit or did somebody tell you that?

How fast does it ascend?

I'm always a bit put off by people who refuse to answer a simple question regarding their product such as "How much does it cost?". That isn't an invite for a personal sales call, it's simply asking for the price. We don't care if you have different prices for different people, nor is anybody asking for a guaranteed quote. Just the price, rounded off to the nearest big round number is fine.
