Deer ?
I just cant remember but was surronded my yellow eyed animals last night .
It was hard to see the animal itself but they all had yellow eyes.
If i shined one it would freeze liike a deer while i approached it.

Sounds to me like you were surrounded by a pack of cougars, the yellow eyed ones are the worse. You're lucky to be here typing that.:D

I was just looking it up and it sounds like quite a few animals who have good night vision have yellow eyes.

The Grinch?

On the ground or in trees? On the ground, could've been rabbits, in trees, probably coons. They'll both freeze fairly well when shined. Where they all around you, like you were being surrounded? Could've been deer. And was the "yellow" truely yellow or just the reflection of the retinas? I mean, if you could see the color yellow, and weren't seeing the reflection, you probably would've been able to see the animal itself.

I thought deer eyes shine greenish dark.
There were two of them best i could tell and no i could not see there actual eye , it was just the reflection.
They seemed about 3 or 4 feet tall .
Anyhow we found a absolutly giant cyote out here not long ago.
I live on the edge of printice cooper wild life managment and since ive been here Wow its been awesome.
Anyhow there were two of these animals what ever they were as best i could tell and like i said they made alot of noise, like a deer, when moving.
I was glad i had my 9 mill

Oh yes deffinatly on ground, it could have been coons.

Sounds like your mother in law was sneaking around outside your house.

Deer Eyes shine greenish white

they shine red in my bushnell 3x9, thanks to the headlights.:evil4:

I think it was Yetis. if they were low, close to the ground, they were crawling up on your ass.:\:

Here's why I hunt at night.

I agree...most likely cougars...why didn't you just turn off the light and see what happened?

I am definitely leaning toward the Grinch variety...
Then again the geese and goats sorta shined like that the other night .. NAAWWWWW The GRINCH! Definitely:/:

First thing with yellow eyes that comes to mind is a Great Horned Owl.

...Or one of the other two below, ;) :
