I don't know what has kept me from this site, but I think I'm gonna like it here!

Since this forum is about saws, for those that don't know me...some pictures of my saws...

Welcome indeed ,nice clean saws. I recognize all of them but I suspect that Mac is a 10-10 under the guise a different number ?

Welcome John. Grab a beer from the fridge and make yourself comfortable. Most of us are quite friendly, but watch out for that Squisher fellow. He can get a bit aggressive when provoked. :\:

Well, here's the story,

I didn't post a pic of the 110, but I bought it brand new in 1978 for $69.99.

The 044 I bought brand new in 1994 and used it in tree service work for four years, and it made me a lot of money, but it was always cleaned weekly and taken care of. The saw actally has hundreds of hours on it.

The MS660 was an Xmas present from my GF last year.

The Mac 4300, 028, and SP125 are all ebay saws.

The 4300 is really a ProMac 700 but with different stickers to align it with the other model names in the McCulloch line-up at the time. It is the only one I have ever seen.

The 028 was owned by a little old lady...;)

The SP125 is in line for a restoration...just have to gather a few more parts.

I went out yesterday and threw chips with the 028 and the 044..:D

Now, I don't mind cleaning my saws, but dang! You can clean a saw. Shoot, you could put those on eBay as collector's items and make money off of them.:big-money:

Is it loud?

It is not to bad, but I always wear hearing protection when I run saws. I left the cage in the housing to damp the noise a little. I like the way it sounds...the stock sound was pathetic.

First of of all .... sweet collection of Stihl's ... second I was sure Al Smith would have an interest , third .... why am I NOT shocked by the fact G.F.B. has run them ALL! (living buddah of tree work)
